Is
Israel Covering Up a Major Biblical Archeology Find?
It
seems that for the sake of the so-called “peace process,” the government of Israel is acting to
suppress evidence that clearly attests to a historical Jewish presence in the
disputed territories of Judea and Samaria. (Israel Today)
Benjamin Troper,
the training coordinator of the Kfar Etzion Field School in the Etzion
Bloc of Jewish settlements, discovered the capital (top section) of an ancient
pillar while aiding a tourist who was climbing through a cave in the Judean Hills.

The
pillar and attached capital are said by local archaeologists to have clearly formed part of a royal
structure dating back to the times of the Judean kings and possibly even King
David himself. The intact appearance of the find suggests the
presence of the yet to be discovered remains of an ancient palace at the same
site.
“We appear to have a complete castle here.
Those who lived here after it did not know of its existence and thus,
instead of using its stones to build a new building as was the usual practice,
left it intact,” Kfar Etzion
Field School Director Yaron Rosenthal said. (Makor
Rishon)
The
Israeli West Bank barrier was built to protect Israelis from Palestinian
terrorism.
A cave in Beit Govrin National Park in the
Judean plain: one of the many caves in this area, which were dug for workshops,
hiding places, burial grounds, raising doves, etc. They are extremely complex
structures.
Troper was
expecting commendation for his discovery. Any find of this sort supports the claim of archaeologists who believe
in the existence of the Judaic dynasty against those that do not.
Rosenthal, who obviously believes, was eager
to report his find to Israel’s Antiquities Authority (IAA), who told him, “Yaron,
please, you found it, but we know about it. Now forget the whole thing
and keep your mouth shut.” (Jewish Press)
Rosenthal later discovered that the IAA had
known of the find for the last year and a half but had done nothing about it.
He
was upset that no steps had been taken to cordon it off to protect it from
damage or to explore the site itself. Makor
Rishon reports that although
the IAA was aware of the site, they have allowed the security fence dividing
Israel and Judea and Samaria to be constructed within a hundred yards,
in effect placing it in Palestinian hands with the formation of any state.
According to the paper, Antiquities’ Director-General
Shuka Dorfman and former
chief of the central front General Avi Mizrahi were
called to examine the site at the time of its discovery and decided to keep it quiet.
One can only imagine how the Palestinians
might treat any evidence of a historic Jewish presence that would prove beyond
doubt the existence of a Jewish empire, the same empire that they say never
existed. (Jewish
