(JTA) – In the days following terrorist attacks in Brussels, Islamic street
celebrations broke out in several places in Belgium, the county’s vice
prime minister said. (Why did the media ignore this? RAC)
Yet European authorities are betting the future of their nations
upon the assumption that these Muslims will assimilate and become loyal
citizens of a secular society. There is absolutely no basis for this
assumption, and it could mean the death of Europe as a home of free societies.
Jan Jambon made the statement about
the March 22 bombings, which killed 35 people, on Wednesday during a symposium
titled “Terrorism, Israel and International Law” and organized by the Dutch
anti-racism and pro-Israel lobby group CIDI, or the Center of Information and
Documentation on Israel, in The Hague.
Jambon, a rightist politician, made
the remark while acknowledging Belgium has a jihadism
problem. One of Europe’s
smallest countries, Belgium is the continent’s biggest per capita source of jihadists
fighting in Syria and Iraq, CNN reported. In February, Jambon
revealed Belgium’s
intelligence services have flagged 451 citizens as jihadists...

Americas, says it has 22 "Islamic villages" in the U.S.
GOP presidential candidate Senator Ted Cruz's call for
patrolling of Muslim communities with signs of extremism is being bashed as
pandering to anti-Muslim voters, with critics saying there aren't even Islamist
communities in the U.S. to begin with.
They are wrong. They exist — and newly-published documents show
that they've boasted of enforcing Islamic sharia law,
even going so far as to whip children.

Editor's Comment: Apparently, tolerance is a
one-way road. I can tolerate those that I disagree with. However, today we are
being forced to celebrate perverse lifestyles that we disagree with. There
seems to be no end to the demands of the LGBTQ crowd. There are men who
self-identify as women. They now demand the right to use the women's rest rooms
and changing rooms. And various state governments are caving into this request.
Even school rest rooms and changing rooms are being forced to accommodate these
poor confused boys and girls who do not identify with their actual physical

Report: PA Still Paying Terrorists With Foreign Aid - 29

The
Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) has pointed to a recent statement by
Palestinian Authority (PA) president and dictator, Mahmoud Abbas, indicating
that the PA chief regards all of Israel as an “occupation.” As a result, the
ZOA has noted that, whenever the PA demands an end to “occupation” or claims
that it recognizes Israel but merely wishes to end the “occupation,” it is
lying about its acceptance of Israel and seeking the eventual destruction of
the world’s only Jewish state.
Abbas, who is now in his eleventh year as PA president, to which
office he was elected for a four year term in January
2005, said in an interview in Arabic on PA TV on March 11 that “We have been
under occupation for 67 or 68 years [i.e., since Israel’s establishment in
1948]. Others would have sunk into despair and frustration. However, we are determined
to reach our goal because our people stands behind us” (Official PA TV, March
11, 2016, translation in ‘PA Chairman Abbas: All of Israel is an “occupation”’

Abbas has a long record of admitting the
PA’s pro-terror, anti-peace positions to Arab audiences, while making
conciliatory statements in English to Westerners. Indeed, on March 29, less
than three weeks after making this statement about all of Israel belonging to
the Palestinians, Abbas told a Jewish delegation that, “We strive for peace
through the establishment of the Palestinian state, which will live in peace
and stability alongside Israel” (Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, March 29, 2016, translation in ‘PA Chairman Abbas:

Abbas insists on the Israel-destroying
so-called ‘right of return’ for Palestinian refugees of the 1948-9 war and
their millions of descendants; demands that a
future Palestinian state be judenrein; refuses to accept
Israel as a Jewish state; admits that he
rejected Israel’s 2008 peace offer encompassing Palestinian
statehood in all of Gaza, almost all of Judea/Samaria and including a capital
in eastern Jerusalem; teaches PA
schoolchildren to hate and murder Jews; and honors
terrorists and pays them and their families various stipends and benefits.
ZOA National President Morton A. Klein
said, “These are but the latest examples of Abbas and the PA indicating their
actual non-acceptance of Israel as a Jewish state and thus of any genuine peace
settlement with it.
“Within Mahmoud Abbas’ Palestinian
Authority (PA), the maps do not show a country called Israel; Israeli cities
are described as being part of ‘Palestine’; atlases used in grades 1-12 show Israel
within the pre-1967 borders as ‘occupied Palestine’; Israel is not listed in PA
indexes of countries; PA textbooks fail to mention Israel or even the Oslo agreements
the PA itself signed with it –– all these devices to de-legitimize Israel are
standard fare in Abbas’ PA, a terror-supporting entity to whom we give over $500
million of U.S. taxpayer’s money annually.

from the PA media have been shown to contain a variety of content that is

Often lost in public perceptions of Israel is what this tiny country of 8 million people - founded only 67 years ago, possessing few natural resources, and facing constant security threats from its neighbors - has achieved from an economic and business standpoint. Ron Dermer, Israel's ambassador to the U.S. and a Wharton graduate, recently spoke at Wharton on this subject.
Dermer asserted that in addition to Israel's embracing of capitalism and having a genius for innovation, the natural chutzpah (a Yiddish word meaning insolence, boldness, audacity) of the Jewish people was another secret of Israel's success.
Chutzpah was reflected in the country's very name, he said. In the Old
Testament, Israel was the name given to Jacob after he wrestled with an angel.
"Israel means to struggle with God. Why is that the secret of our success?
Because if Israel's going to do battle with God, we're going to do battle with
Apple and Microsoft [too]." We've been a questioning, skeptical people for
a long time, Dermer said, and "it takes gall and daring to challenge

Just 70 years after the Nazi Holocaust resulted in
the death of more that six million Jewish men, women, children and infants, the
Hell inspired specter of what we call anti-Semitism has now
become a world-wide phenomenon. Over the last 40 years Israel has
increasingly become the most hated nation on Earth. Most people who hate Israel
say that they are only anti-Zionism and not anti-Jewish or anti-Israel, however
the truth is you cant separate Israel, Jewish, or
Zionism. They are all absolutely connected and are impossible to separate
from each other, and impossible to separate from the God of Israel and His Son,
Yeshua, the King of the Jews.
As ugly as anti-Semitism is, there
is something even more sinister at the root of it. The truth is that to be anti-Israel,
or anti-Jewish, or anti-Zionism is in reality to be anti the true
God who describes Himself as the God of Israel. Most of the anti-Israel
people would say that they are anti Zionism because they see it as the reason
behind the so-called illegal occupation of Arab land. Hopefully all of
our readers know that the land they call illegally occupied by Israel was given
by God to Abraham and his descendants in an eternal covenant promise.
(Genesis 15:17-18, Psalm 105:6-11, Jeremiah 30:3) To oppose the Jewish people's
right to possess all of the Promised Land is nothing but rebellion
against the God of Israel. That being the case, I would not want to be in the
shoes of the anti Israel people on Judgment Day, those claiming to be
Christians included! Some of the most rabid anti-Israel people down
through the ages, and still today, were so deceived that they considered
themselves to be serving the God of Israel.
The simple reality is that to hate Israel
and/ or the Jewish people is to hate God. If we truly love God, it makes sense
that we would love the things that He loves, and the opposite is
also true. What I really want to highlight in this comment is how much the
world hates the Creator. Most of the people in the West don't mind all of the
other deities, but they hate the God of Israel, and they hate His commandments.
To be anti-Israel, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, practicing immorality, adultery
or idolatry of any kind, is rebellion against the God who created everything
that exists, and gave us His instructions to live by in the Torah.
US Actress Shocked by Depth of
Anti-Semitism

Barr was in Israel last week to deliver a keynote address to a Jerusalem
conference dealing with the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS)
phenomenon. Barr said that she had become a pro-Israel advocate after
being “shaken” by what she called the naked bigotry of so many liberals who
claim to only be criticizing Israel, but who are in fact anti-Semitic.
“Everything I’d ever believed about the Left was severely shaken, and the
scales began to fall from my eyes in many ways,” said Barr. “It was shocking to
realize that what I considered criticism of Israel gave way to the same
anti-Semitism that I’d heard all of my life.”
Barr said she was privy to a lot of such talk because for a long
time fellow Hollywood elite were unaware of her Jewish background. She
eventually came to the realization that “many of those I considered comrades
were naked bigots who had absolutely no interest in peace between Israel and
Palestinians Arabs at all as I did.” “BDS [members] do not want peace,
nor do they want peace negotiations,” insisted Barr. Like the classic
anti-Semites of old, the actress accused BDS activists of seeking to “isolate
and disenfranchise Jews until it (the Middle East) will all be Jew-free."
Phillips, a former elected member of the Labour Party who served as the Chairman of the EHRC from
2003-2012 will present “What British Muslims Really Think” on Channel 4 on
Wednesday. An ICM poll released to the Times
ahead of the broadcast reveals:

Muslims in Britain never enter a non-Muslim house;

39 per cent of
Muslims, male and female, say a woman should always obey her husband;
·
31 per cent of
British Muslims support the right of a man to have more than one wife;
·
23 per cent of
Muslims support the introduction of Sharia law rather than the laws laid down
by parliament.
Writing
in the Times on
the issue, Phillips admits: “Liberal opinion in
Britain has, for more than two decades, maintained that most Muslims are just
like everyone else… Britain desperately wants to think of its Muslims as
versions of the Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya
Hussain, or the cheeky-chappie athlete Mo Farah. But
thanks to the most detailed and comprehensive survey of British Muslim opinion
yet conducted, we now know that just isn’t how it is.”
Phillips commissioned “the Runnymede report”
on Britain and Islamophobia in 1997 which, according to both Phillips
and academics across the country, popularised the
phrase which has now become synonymous with any criticism–legitimate or not–of
Islam or Muslims.
Durham University’s Anthropology Journal noted in 2007: “It has been a
decade since the Commission on British Muslims and Islamophobia was
established, a Commission that through its 1997 report, “Islamophobia: a
challenge for us all” (“the Runnymede report”) not only raised an awareness of
the growing reality of anti-Muslim and anti-Islamic hostility in Britain, but
also marked the onset of what might be described as ‘the first decade of Islamophobia.’
In doing so, the Runnymede report propelled the word ‘Islamophobia’ into the
everyday common parlance and discourses of both the public and political
spaces.”
Phillips says his new data shows “a chasm”
opening between Muslims and non-Muslims on fundamental issues such as marriage,
relations between men and women, schooling, freedom of expression and even the
validity of violence in defense of religion. He notes – echoing an article on Breitbart London just two weeks ago
which reveals a growing disparity between older and younger Muslims in Britain
– that “the gaps between Muslim and non-Muslim youngsters are nearly as large
as those between their elders.”
And while he note
that many Muslims in Britain are grateful to be here, there is a widening gap
in society with many Muslims segregating themselves. “It’s not as though we
couldn’t have seen this coming. But we’ve repeatedly failed to spot the warning
signs,” he admits.
“Twenty years ago… when I published the
report titled Islamophobia:
A Challenge for Us All, we thought that the real risk of
the arrival of new communities was discrimination against Muslims. Our 1996
survey of recent incidents showed that there was plenty of it around. But we
got almost everything else wrong.”
His comments will come as a blow to those
who continue to attack elements in British society who are concerned about
Muslim immigration and integration, and in fact may even go some way to shoring
up comments made by U.S. Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz
(R-TX) seeking to slow down or pause the rate of Muslim immigration into the
West.
“We estimated that the Muslim population of
the UK would be approaching 2 million by 2020. We underestimated by a million.
We predicted that the most lethal threat to Muslims would come from racial
attacks and social exclusion. We completely failed to foresee the urban conflicts
of 2001 that ravaged our northern cities. And of course we didn’t dream of 9/11
and the atrocities in Madrid, Paris, Istanbul, Brussels and London.”
“For a long time, I too thought that
Muslims would become like previous waves of migrants, gradually abandoning
their ancestral ways, wearing their religious and cultural baggage lightly, and
gradually blending into Britain’s diverse identity landscape. I should have
known better.”
And Mr. Phillips even acknowledges that the
mass sexual grooming and rape scandals that are plaguing heavily Muslim populated
towns across Britain are because of Muslim men. He writes: “The contempt for
white girls among some Muslim men has been highlighted by the recent scandals
in Rotherham, Oxford, Rochdale
and other towns. But this merely reflects a deeply ingrained sexism that runs
through Britain’s Muslim communities” – in a nod to those who have long protested
this to be the case in the face of political, media, and even police cover ups.
Even columnist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown
told him: “[W]e [liberal Muslims] are a dying breed — in 10 years there will be
very few of us left..."
As
I sit here next to the computer, it is only mid-April. The national
presidential conventions will be this summer. So much can change between now
and then. In November, we have the actual elections that will decide who our
next president is. We have the good fortune that we actually get to vote for
the men and women who govern. Also, if we err and elect the wrong people, there
are term limits. And presidents are limited to two terms of four years each. I
think of evil dictatorships such as in North Korea and Syria, whereby after the
evil dictator dies, then his son takes control, from one generation to the
next.
However, the perfect government isn't democracy.
Winston Churchill famously said, "Democracy is the worst form of
government, except for all the other forms of government." We have a messy
system of democracy in the United States, especially with the many presidential
primaries scattered around the country. However, we can actually vote for the
various candidates for various offices. In most parliamentary democracies, you can
only vote for the political parties.
Yeshua will return someday and set up the
Messianic Kingdom. This will be the best form of government, basically a benign
dictatorship, which will bring peace and tranquility to the entire planet.
Anti-Semites accuse the Jewish people of trying to take over the world. The
accusation is ludicrous. However, there is a grain of truth in the accusation.
A Jew will be taking over the world: Jesus the Jew! Of course, His actual name
is Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah and Savior of the world! In Isaiah 2:3-4, we
read:
And
many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of
Adonai, to the house of the God of Jacob, that He may teach us concerning His
way, and that we may walk in His paths." For the Torah (Law or Instructions)
will go forth from Zion, and the word of YHWH from Jerusalem. And He will judge
between the nations, and will rebuke many people. And they shall beat their
swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not
lift up sword
against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.
Yes,
you read that right. The Torah shall go forth from Zion to the various
nations of the world! God's instructions (Torah) are for Jew and Gentile.
Both Jew and Gentile shall be observing the Rosh Chodesh ("New Moon")
and Shabbat (Sabbath), as Isaiah 66:22-23 tells us:
"For
as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before
Me," saith YHWH, "so shall your seed and
your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from new moon to another, and
from one Shabbat to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me," saith Adonai.
The
Sabbath, by the way, is "Saturday," basically from Friday at sunset
until Saturday at sunset. This is the Shabbat that all nations will be ob-serving,
not Sunday.
I remember during the 1980 elections, many
Evangelical voters did not want to vote for Ronald Reagan, because he divorced
his first wife. He later ended up marrying Nancy Reagan, and had been married
to her for about thirty years at the time of the election. Now we have Donald
Trump running for president, a man who has been married three times. He trades
in his wives for a new, younger model more often than I trade in my cars.
Franklin Foer, in Slate.com, writes,
"Donald Trump holds one core belief, Misogyny[1]." He has made it clear that he views women as
"meat," prizes to be won. He has boasted of his adulteries with
"seemingly happily married and important women." He cheated on his
first wife, and called his second wife "a nice piece of a--." He
disparages women who come against his bullying, including Fox anchor Megyn Kelly and former rival Carly Fiora
and numerous female journalists, calling them "fat,"
"ugly," or "disgusting." Re-garding
his daughter Ivanka, in 2006 he said, "If she
weren't my daughter, I'd be dating her."
Ronald Reagan was a faithful husband for
all of his years of marriage to Nancy Reagan, yet many Evangelicals rejected
him in 1980 because he was the first divorced president to run for the office
of President. And yet many Evangelicals support Trump, who brags about
his marital infidelities. It is all very puzzling to me. Trump also uses incredibly
vulgar language. Imagine if he were elected as President. When he appears on TV
to address the public, you would have to send the children away to shield them
from the vulgarities - a very poor role model indeed.
A couple of years ago, he was
"Pro-Choice," even supporting partial-birth abortions. Today, he is
"Pro-Life." Last year, he was "neutral" regarding the Palestinian-Israel
conflict. Today, he is pro-Israel. He is a chameleon, changing wherever the
political winds take him. He brags that he could go down Fifth Avenue and shoot
someone, and still not lose any supporters. The scary thing is that this is absolutely
true! No one else could ever say and do the same things he does, and yet remain
in the race for President.
And Hillary... Everyone knows she is
deceitful and untrustworthy. As Secretary of State, she was constantly
undermining Israel. Today, she paints herself as Israel's best friend. Will the
real Hillary please stand up? It seems that we should get much better
candidates running. It's going to be a rough ride. Fasten your seat belts! RAC

Barack Obama has gotten very impatient with Congress. On February 21, 2016, he
said, "We're not just going to be waiting for legislation in order to make
sure that we're providing Americans the kind of help they need. I've got a pen
and I've got a phone. And I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take
executive actions and administrative actions that move the ball
forward..."
It is rather amazing that he has been doing
just that. We have three branches of government in the United States. The
President represents the Executive Branch. Congress is the Legis-lative
Branch. The Supreme Court is the Judicial Branch. Today, it seems that all
three branches are also Legislative Branches.
The Supreme Court is supposed to decide the
constitutionality of laws enacted by Congress. Instead, the court is "legislating"
things that the writers of the Constitution would never have intended,
including kicking God out of the classrooms, finding a
"constitutional" right for abortion, and now a
"constitutional" right for same sex marriage. If two men can now be
married, why not two brothers? How about a mother and son? Isn't it
discriminatory that two (or three) people who love each other can't get
married?
And now the Executive Branch (via Obama) is
legislating things that he can't get through Congress, ranging from items in ObamaCare to undocumented immigrants. He threatened nations
in Africa (e.g., Kenya) of eliminating foreign aid if they did not legalize
homosexuality.
Governor Andrew Cuomo saw that President
Obama got away with this, and is now doing the same thing in New York State.
For eight years, he has tried to pass the notorious Bathroom Bill through our
legislature. For eight years, the legislature refused to pass it. Basically,
this allows transgender people to choose the bathrooms and changing rooms of
their choice, even though it is different from their biological gender.
On January 16, 2016, Cuomo picked up his
pen, and now the Bathroom Bill has become law. If a man identifies as a woman,
he can use the women's restrooms and changing rooms. A decade ago, such a thing
would have been unthinkable. People would have arisen in disgust against such a
thing. Today, it is considered bigotry to forbid a man from using the women's
restrooms and changing rooms. Forgive the vulgarity... But if the person has a
penis, he should not be in changing rooms with women and little girls. Little
girls should not be forced to use bathroom stalls next to a man with confused
gender issues. And women with gender confusion should not be using men's rest
rooms and changing rooms. The legislature in North Carolina passed a law
against such things. The LGBTQ people arose in horror at the discrimination
they were facing. Bruce Springsteen said he would no longer perform in North
Carolina because of the discrimination against "transgenders."
Apparently, Governor Cuomo wants to add to
the gender confusion. On February 7, 2016, he signed an executive order against
"conversion therapy." Not all homosexual men and women are happy with
their sexual orientation. They seek professional help so that they can be heterosexual,
and hopefully live lives as normal men and women, and even have normal
male-female marriages with families! Do you see anything wrong with that? Well,
apparently Cuomo does. He is beginning by banning conversion therapy for minors.
If a boy or girl has unwanted sexual attractions to others of the same gender
and wants help to overcome it, don't go to the governor for help. In fact, such
assistance is now forbidden. Counselors and psychiatrists, etc. can possibly
loose their licenses to practice their professions. Medicaid and private
insurance will not be allowed to pay toward such therapy. Cuomo is also seeking
the same policies for adults who seek to overcome Same Sex Attraction (SSA).
However, if an individual is seeking
therapy to undergo "gender transition," there is Medicaid coverage
available for such people. Actually, changing one's biological sex is a
scientific impossibility. However, now state aid is available for such
procedures.

Internet. Even Christians were arguing that there should be no censorship on
the Internet! It seems that common sense should dictate that hardcore porn
should not be accessed via the Internet. It is especially dangerous for the
minds of young boys. Now young men find that they are unable to "perform"
in bed with real live women. They suffer Erectile Dysfunction, and can only
achieve sexual satisfaction when viewing porn. Decades of degrading women through
hardcore (often violent) porn is now being discussed because men can't get an

John E. Putnam stood at the podium and exclaimed to the crowd, “Who here loves
Israel and the Jewish people?” The thunderous applause indicated the ecstatic approval
by more than 500 pastors, ministers, and their families attending a recent
conference of United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI). Putnam,
superintendent of UPCI’s Wisconsin District, had fired up the crowd, exhorting
them to incorporate biblical principles in their everyday lives.
A major aspect of the conference — held
from April 5-7 in Elkhart Lake, Wis. — was reaffirming Pentecostal support for
the State of Israel. Just outside the main hall was a large booth containing
informational brochures published by Israel’s Ministry of Tourism. Bilingual
Spanish and English tours to the Holy Land were marketed towards pastors in
order to encourage more churches to bring their congregations to Israel.
According to the American Political Science
Association, Pentecostalism is the world’s fastest-growing religious
movement. A Pew Forum analysis estimates that there are about 279 million
Pentecostal Christians internationally. UPCI has 4,602 member churches in
North America and 9,085 ministers. Worldwide, UPCI counts a total membership of
about 3 million adherents.
Jewish ritual items such as mezuzah cases
and tallitot (prayer shawls) were on sale at the
conference. Olivewood statues made in Bethlehem were on display, depicting
biblical scenes such as a priestly procession of the Ark of the Covenant and
baby Jesus in the arms of Mary.
Though support for Israel is strong among
the participants of the conference, many have yet to visit the country. “Over the years, we have organized hundreds of
trips. Many more are on the way,” said Putnam. “An average trip takes about 10
days. We usually make it a point to go to Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee,
Caesarea, Tiberius, Beit She’an, Mount Carmel, and
the Dead Sea.” The bishop had particularly fond memories of the Dead Sea,
sharing pictures of his family during their last visit to Israel. After having
visited Israel earlier this year, Putnam feels an even greater attachment to
the Jewish state.
“But if I had to choose, my favorite place
would be the Sea of Galilee,” Putnam said. “Our group had a wonderful boat ride
on the water and it had a special meaning for me.” After the experience he had
while visiting the Holy Land, the bishop firmly believes that it is incumbent
on every Christian to visit and support Israel.
Pentecostal support for Israel is rooted in
a strong belief that Christianity must return to its roots, as outlined in the
Hebrew Bible. According to Pastor Stan Gleason of The
Life Church in Kansas City, Mo., it is a conscious effort to return to the
faith of 1st-century Judea and encourage Christians to return to their Hebraic
roots.
“I was amazed how safe I always felt,” Gleason
said when describing his recent visit to Israel. “You can feel the presence of
God in that land and it is quite an amazing feeling to walk through the places
mentioned in the Bible and see it through your own eyes.”
“I believe we have a God-mandated call to
support Israel,” said Senior Pastor Ed Herman of TurnPoint Pentecostal
Church. Citing Genesis 12:3, he said it is “rooted in the Abrahamic
Covenant, those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel
will be cursed.” His wife Paula added, “Our people pray for Israel all the
time.” Herman conveyed his strong interest in and knowledge of Israeli history,
citing the late Israeli political adviser Yehuda Avner’s
The Prime Ministers as one of his
favorite books.
“We are so grateful for the Jewish community,”
Putnam said, recalling his experience at the Western Wall. “We are grafted to the
same tree; our roots come from the Bible. We owe a great debt to Israel and the
Jewish people.”

Arab Israeli Makes History As First-Ever Muslim Appointed To 2nd Highest
Police Rank: The Israel Police on 13 April 2016 promoted commander Jamal Hachrush to the rank of assistant-chief, making him the
first Muslim to hold the second-highest rank in the agency. Hachrush
will be in charge of a special police branch that will focus primarily on the
problems facing Israel’s crime-ridden Arab communities. The branch is part of a
wider multi-year plan that police say will include the opening of 10 new police
stations in the Arab sector and the recruitment of more than 1,300 Arab
officers.
Expectations that Hachrush would be promoted
were first reported in February, just days after Police Commissioner Insp.-Gen.
Roni Alsheich told a Knesset committee meeting that
the level of crime in the Arab sector is unacceptable and the cause of great
suffering for average citizens. He also quoted figures that highlighted the disproportionately
high crime create among Arab Israelis, who account for about 20 percent of the
population but 59% of murders and 32% of property crimes. For years, crime has
been one of the main problems facing the Arab community where drugs, family
feuds, organized crime, and large amounts of illegal firearms help fuel the

Ukraine Parliament Approves First-Ever
Jewish Prime Minister: Ukraine’s parliament Thurs. 14 April 2016 confirmed
the appointment of Volodymr Groysman
as premier in a 257 to 50 vote replacing Arseniy Yatsenyuk. The 38-year-old
lawyer has gone from a small city mayor to Ukraine's premier over a remarkable
two-year span. Groysman is the son of Jewish parents
from Vinnytsia, the western Ukrainian city that
elected him mayor in 2006, and is the first openly Jewish person to hold the
country’s second highest post. He is also the youngest person to have the job. Groysman was confident to tackle one of eastern Europe's
more difficult tasks: “I am good for it. I am able to work 24 hours a day.”

Refugees Bring Anti-Semitism To Europe, Warns Senior Hungarian Minister:
A senior Hungarian
cabinet minister warned that refugees entering Europe are anti-Semitic. Janos
Lazar, PM Viktor Orban’s cabinet chief, delivered the
warning on 14 April 2016 during a press conference in Budapest. “Refugees
entering Europe now are strongly anti-Semitic,” he said in explaining why his
government was blocking the vast majority of people from Syria and Iraq from
entering the country. “Where there are large numbers of immigrants, there is
greater anti-Semitism - France and Germany, for example,” Lazar said. He also
claimed Hungary has low levels of anti-Semitism. While anti-Semitic violence is
rare in Hungary, intolerant rhetoric against Jews in government and mainstream
media is widely seen as a problem.
Mazsihisz, the umbrella group of
Hungarian Jewish communities, recently said the Hungarian government pledged at
least $2 million dollars in funding this year for maintenance and renovations
of abandoned Jewish cemeteries. Meanwhile, the remains of Jews murdered during
World War II and found in the Danube river in 2011 were buried in Budapest on
Friday, 16 April 2016. The bones, some pockmarked with bullet holes, are now
thought to have belonged to Jews shot on the banks of the Danube by members of
the Hungarian Nazi-allied Arrow Cross party in late 1944 or early 1945. (JTA)

Minister Lee Hsien Loong arrived in Israel on Monday for his first ever visit
and noted with gratitude the defense aid and advice Singapore has received from
Israel over the years. "In August 1965, when Singapore unexpectedly became
independent, the Israel Defense Forces helped us to develop the Singapore Armed
Forces. We asked a number of countries [for assistance], but only Israel responded
to us, and it did so very promptly ....We will always
be grateful that Israel helped us and stood by us at our time of great

UNESCO Resolution Ignores Jewish Ties To Temple, Western Wall: A resolution adopted
Friday, 15 April 2016, by the executive board of UNESCO, meeting in Paris, does
not recognize a Jewish connection to the Western Wall and the Temple Mount and
calls Israel an "occupying power." The measure refers to the Western
Wall as Al-Buraq Plaza and to the Temple Mount as the Al-Aksa Mosque/Al-Haram
Al Sharif. It also criticizes Israel for its decision to build an egalitarian
prayer area in the Western Wall Plaza. Israeli PM Netanyahu responded the
following day: "UNESCO ignores the unique historic connection of Judaism
to the Temple Mount, where two temples stood for a thousand years and to which
every Jew in the world has prayed for thousands of years. The UN is rewriting a
basic part of human history."
Despite being the holiest site in Judaism, the Temple
Mount remains under Jordanian jurisdiction. Israeli police, in an attempt to
appease the Muslim Waqf which was left in charge of
the Temple Mount compound after the 1967 Six Day War, ban Jews from praying or

US Rejects
Netanyahu’s Pledge To Hold Onto Golan Forever

The United States on April 18th
objected to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s assertion that the Golan
Heights will forever remain under Israeli control, reiterating that it does not
recognize the Jewish state’s claims to the strategic plateau.
US
State Department spokesman John Kirby said that the Obama administration does
not consider the Golan Heights to be part of Israel. “The US position on the
issue is unchanged,” Kirby said at a daily media briefing at the State
Department in Washington. “This position was maintained by both Democratic and
Republican administrations. Those territories are not part of Israel and the
status of those territories should be determined through negotiations.”
Israel
captured the Golan from Syria in the 1967 Six-Day-War[2]
and effectively annexed it in 1981. The move was unanimously rejected the same
year by the UN Security Council.
Republican
presidential candidate Ted Cruz on April 18th backed Netanyahu,
saying it would be “foolhardy and dangerous” for the world to press Israel to
relinquish the territory amid the ongoing Syrian civil war.
“The
government of Israel reiterated the reality that the Golan Heights are part of
Israel’s sovereign territory. Given the presence of hostile terrorist
organizations ranging from ISIS to Hezbollah on Israel’s northern border, it is
foolhardy and dangerous for elements in the international community to try to
pressure Israel to abandon the Golan to the chaos engulfing Syria. The path to
peace cannot involve Israel’s abdication of its own security,” Cruz said in a
statement.
Earlier,
Germany said a unilateral decision by Israel to keep the Golan Heights would
breach international law while the Arab League denounced Netanyahu’s comments
as an “escalation.” German Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Schaefer said
“It’s a basic principle of international law and the UN charter that no state
can claim the right to annex another state’s territory just like that.” [3] Schaefer
said Germany isn’t currently demanding the immediate return of the territory
due to the security situation in Syria.
On
Sunday, Netanyahu held the first-ever cabinet meeting on the Golan, declaring
that the area will always be part of Israel. “Israel will never withdraw from
the Golan Heights,” he declared, pointing to the historical Jewish connection
to the ridge.
The
comments came amid reports that Netanyahu had called US Secretary of State John
Kerry to complain about text declaring the Golan as part of Syria to be
included as part of a peace deal being drafted to end the Syrian civil war...
The
international community never accepted Israel’s annexation, and Israeli leaders
see in the turmoil in Syria a chance to convince the world to recognize Israeli
sovereignty over the Golan. In November, Netanyahu reportedly asked US
President Barack Obama to recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the area, given
the civil war. Obama refused to even reply, according to Israeli media
accounts...
How Should We Respond To
Muslim Immigrants? Most Americans agree
that banning Muslim immigration based solely on religious affiliation is
un-American. We don’t accept hateful bias against an entire group. Yet common
Muslim beliefs, as revealed by recent Pew Research Center studies, raise
concerns about Muslim immigration to the United States. Should we open our
doors to individuals whose beliefs conflict harshly with our core values? On
what basis shall we evaluate the millions who seek entrance? If we continue to
believe America is best served by immigrants who will help us thrive, we should
also rule out those who will endanger our society—by their values and potential
actions.
Quite simply, a vast majority of Muslims harbor
values antithetical to the liberal democratic principles we cherish. In short,
no immigrant should be granted entrance to the U.S. who does not embrace bedrock
American values. Rule of Civil Law over Sharia. According to research by the
Pew Research Center, “overwhelming percentages of Muslims in many countries
want Islamic law (Sharia) to be the official law of the land.” Under religious
sharia, any man-made law (such as American democracy) is illicit; adultery is
punishable by stoning to death; apostates who leave Islam are to be killed.
Some 99% of Afghans support Sharia as the national law, as do 91% of Iraqis and
74% of Muslims in the Middle East and North Africa. Will immigrants with these
beliefs help our society? Or should U.S. immigration be limited to those who disavow

Equal Rights for Women. Some 93% of Muslims in Southeast Asia and 87% of those in the Middle East and North Africa believe a wife must obey her husband. No wonder cases of spousal abuse, including rape, abound in Muslim countries, to say nothing of honor killings of wives and daughters who “scandalize” male relatives when they are victims of rape. Such values conflict widely with American norms. Is belief in patriarchal domination of women helpful to American society, or should immigrants with this belief be turned away?
Opposition to Suicide Bombings.
Fully 40% of Palestinian Muslims, 39% of Afghans and 29% of Egyptians believe
suicide bombings in defense of Islam are often or sometimes justified. Should
the United States accept an immigrant who holds these beliefs—as apparently
have the Brussels, Paris, San Bernardino and Jerusalem killers? Or should we
screen for this belief and deny entrance to those who hold suicide bombing to
be acceptable?

have always had standards as to who to accept as lawful immigrants. In the
past, the USA did not allow Nazis and Communists to enter, which is a very
rational policy. Radical Islamists present a very real threat, as we have seen
from terrorist attacks throughout the world, including the Europe, Israel, the
United States, and even in many Islamic countries. In fact, Radical Islamists
are killing far more Muslims than they are killing Christians and Jews.
Islamists who support Sharia (Islamic law) should not be allowed to migrate to
non-Islamic countries. As they seek to escape the violence of the countries
they are leaving, they are turning their new host countries into the hell-holes
they left behind. Radical Islamists are also effectively taking over various
colleges and universities. This bodes evil for this country, as many of these
same colleges and universities will produce the leaders of the future. It is
already dangerous to be pro-Israel on many campuses.
‘Peace
Partner’ Fatah Welcomes Jerusalem Bus Attack: Fatah, the faction
headed by Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas, welcomed Monday’s
18 April, 2016 bomb attack on a bus in Jerusalem, in which 21 people were
wounded. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, which is Fatah’s so-called “military
wing”, praised the attack and said its perpetrators “responded to our calls to
carry out suicide attacks.” Earlier, both Hamas and the Islamic Jihad welcomed
the Jerusalem attack, with Hamas calling it "the natural response to [so
called] Israeli crimes, particularly the field executions [self-defense
measures] it conducts, and the [erroneous] assaults on the Al-Aqsa
Mosque." Islamic Jihad also justified the attack, saying that it
"delivered the message that the Intifada would continue." Earlier on
Monday, PM Netanyahu responded to the bus bombing by pledging to find those
responsible and settle the score. "We will find whoever made the bomb,
we'll get to the terrorists who delivered it, we'll get to the people standing
behind this attack and we'll settle the score with these terrorists."

White House Backs Biden’s Criticism Of Israel: Vice President Joe Biden said 18 April 2016, that Israeli
PM Netanyahu's government was leading the country "in the wrong
direction" hours after a bus bombing in Jerusalem wounded at least 21
people. In a speech to the group J Street, Biden criticized Palestinian
leaders, but saved his harshest words for Israeli officials. Biden expressed
what he called the Obama administration’s “overwhelming frustration” with
Israel. “The present course Israel’s on is not one that’s likely to secure its
existence as a Jewish, democratic state – and we have to make sure that happens,”
Biden said, before going on to criticize Israel over a host of issues. Despite
a partial freeze on construction in Jewish communities in Judea & Samaria,
Biden attacked Israeli actions over the Green Line and also openly expressed
the hope that the Israeli left win back control of the Knesset. Biden did
single out Palestinian leaders, including Mahmoud Abbas, for declining
to condemn specific acts of terrorism carried out against Israelis. The White

Iranian-Backed Rebels Arrest
Last Rabbi In Yemen: Iranian-backed Shia
Islamist rebels have arrested a Yemenite rabbi they accuse of helping smuggle a
500-year-old Torah scroll out of the country to Israel. The scroll was brought
to Israel by 19 Yemenite Jews who made aliyah in March 2016, escaping widespread
persecution, death threats and violent attacks, particularly at the hands of
Shia Houthi rebels, who are locked in a bloody civil war with Yemen's embattled
government. Some 50 Jews opted to remain in Yemen, however, among them Rabbi Yahia Youssef Yaish, who remained
holed up in a protected compound in the capital Sanaa together with most of
what remains of the ancient community. But the Houthis, who seized Sanaa from
government forces last year, promptly arrested Rabbi Yaish,
on charges of "smuggling an ancient Torah scroll to Israel," and thereby
"robbing Yemen's historical assets." Another Yemenite rabbi, Rabbi Saliman Dahari, physically brought the scroll to Israel.
The Houthis are avowedly anti-Semitic, a racist sentiment enshrined in their
infamous slogan: "Allah Is Great, Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse
on the Jews, Victory to Islam."

Pakistani Muslim on Why He Joined Zionist Movement

author Noor Dahri, a proud Muslim, recently joined
the Zionist Federation of the UK, and penned an op-ed explaining to fellow Muslims
why he did so, and why they, too, should consider supporting Israel.
Dahri explained
that while most fellow Muslims “welcomed my brave and courageous step to grasp
the truth,” many others were confused and angered by his new affiliation with
what he termed the “national liberation movement of the Jewish people.”
Addressing accusations of anti-Muslim apartheid
and oppression in Israel, Dahri noted that “Muslims
are living in peace and harmony under Israeli law and there are about 400
Mosques …which are protected by the Jewish state.”
He continued by stressing that “Zionism has
never encouraged religious violence,” and further pointed out that “there is
freedom of speech and freedom of religion for Muslims in the state of Israel.”
In fact, “Muslims live in the only democratic country in the Middle East
without fear and persecution,” Dahri wrote. “We
cannot find any religious discrimination against Arab Israelis in the Jewish
state.”
Britain’s Leading Universities Threaten
To Quit NUS Over New President: Student bodies from a number
of prestigious British universities are on the precipice of leaving the National
Union of Students after the election of the organization's new president Malia Bouattia, news sources reported Friday, 22 April 2016.
Students from Oxford and Cambridge said this week they are planning to hold a
referendum vote on whether to stay in the NUS after a number of anti-Semitic
comments attributed to Bouattia were discovered. Bouattia, NUS's first black Muslim female president, stated
in 2011 that the University of Birmingham was a "Zionist outpost in
British higher education" and was later chastised for referring to
"Zionist-led media outlets." She also remarked that violence or
"non-peaceful resistance" was the most effective way Palestinians
could bring an end to the decades long conflict with Israel. More recently, Bouattia found controversy after she initially failed to support
a motion condemning ISIS as a terror organization, on the grounds that doing so
would be “blatant Islamophobia.” Bouattia's appointment
has outraged many across British campuses, particularly Jewish society leaders,

'Israel Needs To
Invest In Negev, Galilee For Future Population Surge’: With a housing crisis
and high population growth in a tiny country, Israel faces many daunting infrastructure
problems. However, the OR Movement, an organization devoted to the development
and population of the Negev and the Galilee, says it has found a solution, but
the country needs to start preparing these areas now. The organization is stepping
up efforts to build up the Negev and Galilee so they will be sustainable in
terms of population, infrastructure and jobs. Ofir
Fisher, Or Movement’s co-founder, told media sources that natural population
growth could mean there will be 16 million Israelis in 2048, and a population
of that size will not be able to remain clustered in the central plain.
According to the OR Movement, the Negev and Galilee regions are home to 24% of
the population, despite comprising 70% of the land. About 700,000 people live
in the Negev and 1.3 million in the Galilee. The organization’s goal is raise
those numbers to a combined 6 million within the next three decades so that the
two regions will account for 40% of the country’s population. (J.Post)

Divesting From Israel is
Counterproductive, Biased

The
Northwestern University Divest movement aims to prevent NU from investing in
companies including G4S, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Caterpillar and
Hewlett-Packard, which make products for the Israeli military.
Just last year, Lockheed Martin reached an $11.25 billion military contracting
deal with Saudi Arabia. Both Lockheed and Boeing manufacture the F-16 and F-15
fighter jets used by the Saudi Air Force. According to the UN, the Saudis have
killed over 3,000 civilians in their military intervention in Yemen's civil
war.
Boeing also recently reached a multi-billion dollar
agreement with Turkey to manufacture F-16s, many of which are used in Turkey's
violent repression of the Kurdish minority population. According to the Los
Angeles Times, Turkey is responsible for the destruction of 4,000 Kurdish
villages and the deaths of 35,000 Kurds.
If we can't sanction every country on Earth that violates human rights, surely
we must choose the worst ones first. It is difficult to believe that Israel is
more repressive than Syria's Bashar Al-Assad, Egypt's Al-Sisi,
or the Saudi monarchy. As a result, it is impossible to believe that NU Divest
is making rational choices when it attempts to sanction Israel. It is insulting
and unfair for the divestment movement to target a small Jewish democracy over

Arab-Israeli Alliance Against Iran

The
Egyptians and Saudis aren't worried about Israel anymore. Cairo and Riyadh -
like most Arab capitals - are far more worried about Iran, especially now that
Washington is letting Tehran come in from the cold as part of the nuclear deal.
Egypt's General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has turned out
to be a staunch champion of the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty, not because he
loves the Israelis - surely he doesn't - but because, like all Egyptian Army
officers, he's painfully aware that another war with Israel would be just as
stupid and pointless as the previous wars with Israel and that Egypt would get
its a-- kicked all over again for nothing. And he's realistic enough to know
that the Israelis won't wake up some random morning and decide to bomb Cairo
just for the hell of it.
The Saudis are congenitally incapable of saying anything friendly about Israel
in public, but behind closed doors, the Saudis get along with Israel fine. The
real threat from Iran is uniting most of the Arab states, and it's triggering a
serious rethink about the non-threat from the Jewish state. (World Affairs)
The World Dodged a Bullet
in Syria - Thanks to Israel

I
well remember the day in spring 2007 when I got an urgent call from Vice
President Cheney. The head of Israel's Mossad, the late Meir Dagan, had just
been in to brief Cheney and President Bush. He revealed compelling evidence
that in the Syrian desert east of Damascus, near the town of Al-Kibar, North Korea was covertly building a plutonium-producing
nuclear reactor. It was more or less a replica of the North's own reactor at Yongbyon in North Korea.
Making matters worse, Al-Kibar was perilously close to completion. Options for
getting rid of it would narrow considerably once operations began and the reactor
went "hot." For its part, the U.S. intelligence had totally missed
Al-Kibar.
The fact is that the U.S. dodged a bullet
in Syria - and, it's worth stressing, all courtesy of the Israelis. Not only
did they discover Al-Kibar in the nick of time. They
also carried out the attack that was almost certainly the only means of ensuring
the reactor never went hot.
Just imagine the nightmare that the world
would have faced if, on top of everything else in Syria, we were also dealing
with the nightmare of the Islamic State getting its hands on a plutonium-producing
nuclear reactor.
The

UNESCO
Determines That Judaism's Holiest Site is an Islamic Holy Site

UNESCO, whose mandate is to
protect the world's cultural and historic sites, just caved to anti-Jewish
fanaticism. In a recent vote, its Executive Board ignored historic Jewish links
to Judaism's holiest site, the Temple Mount, and has recast the Western Wall
(Kotel), as the Islamic Al-Buraq Plaza.
The vote is, not only a lie, but left in place, it will further
incite future attacks against Jewish worshippers at the Kotel and at sites central
to Jewish history, faith and values. Even the publication Al-Haram Al-Sharif
from the Supreme Muslim Council, which was published
annually from 1924 to 1953, refers to the Dome of the Rock and the Temple
Mount: "The site is one of the oldest in the
world. Its sanctity dates from the earliest (perhaps from pre-historic) times.
Its identity with the site of Solomon's Temple is beyond dispute."
ť Therefore, if this vote
represents the future course of UNESCO, then US Congress should withhold any
future funding of the UN's caretaker of civilization's historic sites.

Five
young women arrived at Ben Gurion International
Airport in February 2016. They pushed big carts filled with luggage. They were
given roses. One of them, Yue Ting, described how she was called “Jewish girl”
growing up, when she also kept kosher. “I have to be here,” she said.
Yue Ting is one of a group of five, happy, wide-eyed Chinese women to arrive in
Israel on Monday, a story that was covered by the local and national press alike. They were helped by Michael
Freund and his organization Shavei Israel,
which has helped 19 Jews from Kaifeng make aliyah since 2006. Reported NBC:
Yue
and the four other women traveling with her are among some 1,000 traceable
descendants of the Jewish community in Kaifeng, once the imperial capital of
the Chinese Song dynasty. Kaifeng’s Jewish population was established by traveling
merchants from the Middle East and Persia as early as the 7th century
and once numbered as many as 5,000.
Since their last synagogue was destroyed by
floods more than two centuries ago and their rabbinical tradition died out,
little remains of the city’s Jewish roots. “We began to lose our Jewish
tradition,” said Yue, whose family kept kosher growing up, but did not know how
to pray or read in Hebrew.
Last
year, Tablet Senior Editor Matthew Fishbane profiled
Freund and Shavei, which “insists that there are Jews
everywhere: You just need to know how to find them.”
Shavei, which Freund founded in
2002 and which employs a dozen people full time and operates on a seven-figure
budget, is dedicated to the discovery and recognition of “lost Jews” or “newly
found Jews,” which include alleged descendants of the lost tribes of Israel, crypto-Jews, hidden Jews, and self-proclaimants.
The non-profit works to reverse the 2,000-year-old inward turn of the Jewish
people, who have historically thought of themselves as separate and insular. Shavei has “emissaries,” paid or partially paid employees,
in India, China, Russia, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Sicily, Colombia, El
Salvador, and Chile. From the central office in Jerusalem, Shavei
is “actively in touch with” two dozen other communities around the world, from
Ecuador to Zimbabwe to Kyrgyzstan to Indonesia to Japan to Suriname to
Lithuania.
During their first day in Israel, Yue
Ting, Gao Yichen, Yue Ting, Li
Jing, Li Yuan, and Li Chengjin visited the Kotel. Soon, they will begin studies at Nishmat, and pre-pare for formal conversion because they
cannot prove their Jewish heri-tage, a “thorny
question,” writes Fishbane.
…In 1970 Golda Meir amended the Law of
Return to include spouses, children, grandchildren, and children’s spouses,
which eventually opened the gates of Israel to 1.8 million Russians, Poles, and
Romanians — hundreds of thousands of whom were not Jewish (according to
Halachah - Rabbinic law).
Meir’s amendments attempted to provide further
legal precision to the thorny question of which “Jews” could make aliyah. How much of a Jew
did you have to be, exactly? Section 4B states: “For the purposes of this Law,
‘Jew’ means a person who was born of a Jewish mother or has become converted to
Judaism and who is not a member of another religion.” No one seemed to mind the
tautology: A Jew is someone who comes from a Jew, or becomes a Jew… Freund,
meanwhile, is not willing, he says, to put people’s dreams on hold while the
Jewish world debates these points.
“We’ve been struggling for 3-4 years to get
the requisite permission to bring these young women here,” Freund said. Of the year ahead for these five women, he added:
“It’s an act of spiritual transformation. They are formally becoming a Jew and
no one can question that once they have completed the process.”
FRACKING:
Fracking isn't a normal topic for this publication. However, we need a balanced
view of this topic. Fracking has enabled the world to have much less dependence
on Arab oil and authoritarian regimes in Iran and Russia. Environmentalists
holler. However, natural gas from fracking is much cleaner than coal. New environmental
procedures have resulted in very little impact on ground water. As a side
benefit, gas and oil prices are less than half of what they were in 2014.
Saudi Family Therapist Releases Helpful Video on How to Beat Your
Wife the Islamic Way By Thomas Lifson
Here’s some diversity for
the multi-culturalists to celebrate. Via MEMRI,
translation of a video by Saudi family therapist Khaled Al-Saqaby,
who explains the proper Islamic way to beat your wife, which, he admits, is a
thorny issue. As U.K. Daily Mail excerpts:
Mr Al-Saqaby
urges men not to physically abuse their wives but pursue three courses of
action should they need “discipline” – first talk to them, then “forsake them
in bed,” and finally beat them.
He said wives “undoubtedly” caused problems because many “want
to live a life of equality with their husbands,” which is a “very grave
problem.”
Yes, that is grave indeed.
In the video, he says: “I am aware that this issue is a thorny one which
contains many hazards, but Allah willing we will cross this bridge safely.
“I believe the problem arises when husbands do not understand
how to deal with disobedience. Some women disobey their husbands and make mistakes
with them, and their husbands think this is due to inadequate treatment [of disobedience].”
He added: “The first step is to remind her of your rights and of
her duties according to Allah. Then comes the second step – forsaking her in
bed. Finally comes physical action, although Mr. Al-Saqaby
stresses that it should not be a way for a husband to “vent one’s anger.” He
said: “Women have to understand the aim is to discipline. The necessary Islamic
conditions for beating must be met. The beating should not be performed with a
rod, ... or a sharp object, which, I am sad to say, some husbands use ... the
goal is to merely make the wife feel that she was wrong in the way she treated
her husband.”
I am certain we are all relieved to learn of the deep humanity
that informs this process of discipline. And we can celebrate President Obama’s
immigration policies, which are bringing over a hundred thousand Muslims to the
United States every year. The will make our “gorgeous mosaic” of diversity a
lot more colorful.

In view of these repeatedly intolerant Arab views on Israel's existence, international law should not expect Palestinian compliance with any agreements, including those concerning use of armed force--even if these agreements were to include explicit U.S. security guarantees to Israel. There is no lack of irony in the endless discussions of Israel and a Palestinian state....
The PA's Claim That It No Longer Pays Salaries To Terrorist Prisoners Is False.

...The
payments may be made by the PLO, but the money is still PA money. Since it
continues to fund salaries to terrorists, thereby clearly violating its promise
to donors, the PA should be ineligible to receive Western donor money. However,
through this deception the PA is still reaping over a billion dollars in foreign
aid.
Claiming to have complied with demands of
international donors, the PA announced in August 2014 that it had stopped
funding salaries to terrorist prisoners. This
PMW report documents that the PA's claim to have stopped funding terrorist
prisoners' salaries is false. The PA Ministry of Finance continues to make the
decisions and allocate the money for salaries.

Who
Were the Masoretes?
The
Masoretes were groups of Jewish scribes who set up a
system to ensure that the Hebrew Bible was transmitted accurately. The most famous
Masorete community was in Tiberias,
Israel during the 6th to 10th Centuries CE. The original
Hebrew text contained only consonants. The Masoretes
added vowel pointings and cantillation marks to
indicate how Hebrew words were to be pronounced and chanted. They also added
notes in the columns to explain texts and prevent alterations. As a result, the
Hebrew text of the Tanakh (O.T.) been very carefully preserved for many
centuries, far better than the N.T.
While Christianity continues to be
physically erased from the Middle East, lesser known is that its historical role and presence
is also being expunged from memory. In March, a video emerged showing Islamic
State members tossing hundreds of Christian textbooks, many of them emblazoned
with crosses, into a large bonfire. As one report put it,
ISIS was "burning Christian textbooks in an attempt to erase all traces
of" Christianity from the ancient region of Mosul, where Christianity once
thrived for centuries before the rise of Islam.

As
usual, ISIS is ultimately an extreme example of Islam's nor-mative
approach. This was con-firmed during a recent conference in Amman, Jordan,
hosted by the Jerusalem Center for Political Studies. While presenting, Dr.
Hanna Kildani, a Christian, said
that "there is a complete cancellation of Arab Christian history in the
pre-Islamic era," "many historical mistakes," and "unjustifiable
historic leaps in our Jordanian curriculum." "Tenth grade textbooks
omit any mention of any Christian or church history in the region."
Wherever Christianity is mentioned, omissions and mischaracterizations
proliferate, including the portrayal of Christianity as a Western (that is,
"foreign") source of colonization, said Kildani.
Of
course, Christian minorities throughout the Middle East—not just in Jordan—have
long maintained that the history taught in public classrooms habitually
suppresses the region's Christian heritage while magnifying (including by lying
about) Islam.
"It
sounds absurd, but Muslims more or less know nothing about Christians, even
though they make up a large part of the population and are in fact the original
Egyptians," said Kamal Mougheeth, a retired
teacher in Egypt. "Egypt was Christian for six centuries [before the Muslim
invasion around 640]. The sad thing is that for many years the history books
skipped from Cleopatra to the Muslim conquest of Egypt. The Christian era was
gone. Disappeared. An enormous black whole."
This
agrees perfectly with what I recall my parents, Christians from Egypt, telling
me of their classroom experiences from more than half a century ago: there was
virtually no mention of Hellenism, Christianity, or the Coptic Church—one
thousand years of Egypt's pre-Islamic history. History began with the pharaohs
before jumping to the seventh century when Arabian Muslims "opened"
Egypt to Islam. (Wherever Muslims conquer non-Muslim territories, Islamic
hagiography euphemistically refers to it as an "opening," fath, never a
"conquest.")
Sharara Yousif Zara, an
influential politician involved in the Iraqi Ministry of Education agrees:
"It's the same situation in Iraq. There's almost nothing about us
[Christians] in our history books, and what there is, is totally wrong. There's
nothing about us being here before Islam. The only Christians mentioned are
from the West. Many Iraqis believe we moved here. From the West. That we are
guests in this country."
Zara
might be surprised to learn that similar ignorance and historical revisionism
pre-dominates in the West. Although Christians are in fact the most indigenous
inhabitants of most of the Arab world, I am often asked, by educated people,
why Christians "choose" to go and live in the Middle East among
Muslims, if the latter treat them badly.
At any rate, the Mideast's pseudo
historical approach to Christianity has for generations successfully indoctrinated
Muslim students to suspect and hate Christianity, which is regularly seen as a
non-organic parasitic remnant left by Western colonialists (even though
Christianity precedes Islam in the region by some six centuries).
This
also explains one of Islam's bitterest ironies: a great many of today's Middle
East Christians are being persecuted by Muslims — including of the ISIS variety
— whose own ancestors were persecuted Christians who converted to Islam to end
their suffering. In other words, Muslim descendants of persecuted Christians
are today slaughtering their Christian cousins. Christians are seen as
"foreign traitors" in part because many Muslims do not know of their
own Christian ancestry.
Due
to such entrenched revisionism, Muslim "scholars" are able to
disseminate highly dubious and ahistorical theses, as seen in Dr. Fadel Soliman's 2011 book, Copts: Muslims Before Muhammad. It claims
that, at the time of the Muslim conquest of Egypt, the vast majority of Egyptians
were not... Christians, but rather prototypical Muslims, or muwahidin,
who were being oppressed by European Christians: hence, the Islamic invasion of
Egypt was really about "liberating" fellow Muslims (before
Mohammed! RAC).
Needless
to say, no real historian has ever suggested that Muslims invaded Egypt
to liberate "proto-Muslims." Rather, the Muslim chroniclers who wrote
our primary sources on Islam, candidly and refreshingly present the
"openings" as they were—conquests, replete with massacres,
enslavement, and displacement of Christians and the destruction of thousands of
churches.
In
short, Islam's attacks on Christianity are not, as some in the West know,
limited to the physical, but for long have involved intellectual attacks
dedicated to undermining its heritage -- dedicated to erasing Christianity's
history in the very region of its birth.

It should be noted that
the surrounding Arab armies were seeking to destroy Israel. Arab armies massed
on Israel's borders while Arab leaders were threatening to "make Israel
red with Jewish blood" and to "drive the surviving Jews into the
Mediterranean Sea." If the Arabs had won, Israel would have been
destroyed, and its land conquered by the Arabs. Instead, Israel defeated her
enemies, gaining much additional territory from her enemies, including the
Golan Heights.

about China conquering Tibet. Even the USA conquered much land in wars of
aggression against the indigenous Native Americans. The USA has no right to
protest.
